Shearith Israel is an egalitarian, Conservative synagogue located in Intown Atlanta. Our congregation is devoted to spiritual and religious enrichment. We are especially passionate about Jewish education and community building!

At Shearith Israel, we are ritually traditional and courageously progressive. For more than 100 years, we have served the Atlanta area by providing an energetic environment for pursuing Jewish spirituality, learning, and friendship. THE JEWISH SOUTH: AN AMERICAN HISTORY - HYBRID BOOK LAUNCH EVENT - thursday, april 24th, 7:30 pm

CSI is pleased to host Southern Jewish Historical Society Vice-President Shari Rabin of Oberlin College in conversation with SJHS President, Dr. Eric Goldstein of Emory on Thursday, April 24th at 7:30 pm, about her new book, The Jewish South: An American HistoryThe Jewish South is the first synthetic account of southern Jewish history. It offers a panoramic history from colonization through the twentieth century, with a special focus on questions of religion and race. Register below to attend in-person or via Zoom.

young family fridays - friday, may 2nd, 5:30 pm

Join us in the CSI lobby on Friday, May 2nd from 5:30 - 6:15 pm for our monthly Young Family Fridays series featuring a child and family-oriented, song-filled, participatory early Friday evening Shabbat prayer experience led by Ori Salzberg. The special get-together will include songs, community, and food (pizza bagels, fruit and veggies, challah, and grape juice!) Let us know you're coming via the button below.

Our 2024 - 2025 Synagogue Scholar & Author Series concludes with a presentation by Aminah Hasan-Birdwell, Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy at Emory University, titled Baruch Spinoza and the Distinction between Faith and Reason.
